Today, we responsibly source Jonah Crab in the waters of Nova Scotia and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, though we also work with local fisheries in Maine whenever possible.

Maine Lobster Now offers next-day delivery for orders placed Monday through Friday by 8AM ET, with delivery available Tuesday through Saturday. Simple Instructions for Storing and Thawing Jonah Crab
We’ll help you maintain Jonah crab meat at the highest quality possible.

Keep frozen at or below 0℉.
Thaw under refrigeration at or below 38℉.
For quick thawing, place frozen package in cool water for 20 to 30 minutes until contents are flexible.
Once thawed, immediately use or refrigerate.
Do not allow food to warm above 38℉ prior to cooking.

Serving Jonah Crab Claws Is Easy

Our Jonah Crab Claws are already fully cooked by professional fishermen as soon as they are landed at the dock. Once thawed, you can eat the crab meat cold. The crab claws are triple-scored for easy opening, but having crab shell crackers on hand can help to more easily extract the meat.

Heating Jonah crab is easy and fast. It is recommended to only heat the product until warmed through to your desired temperature. Overcooking Jonah crab meat may result in less flavorful meat and an undesired texture.
